Eat Right - "What Food and Nutrients Are You Putting in Your Body"

 Large Eat RightWe are what we eat...a simple yet profound (and extremely truthful) cliche. The unsettling part of this statement is that we are not eating well as a society and the side effects are disastrous. Type II diabetes is on the rise in children, and blood pressure, cholesterol, stroke, etc. are all the byproduct of not focusing on the food that you put in your body. Many people experience energy dips throughout the day which leads to inefficient productivity and an overall sense of failure. For some reason, many people associate a healthy diet with compromising the foods that you love, but what has happened in the health food industry is absolutely fantastic. Every "unhealthy" food exists in a natural or organic version so that you can still enjoy all of your favorite foods, but at the same time remain healthy and filled with vitality. The foods we put in our body represents our fuel and it is essential to consume enough fruits, vegetables, and high quality protein so that your diet is balanced and you can live life to the fullest.

Eating Right is at the foundation of everything that we do in our office and we yearn to develop a program that will support all of your nutrition needs. It is very important to not only provide knowledge but also to recognize that most people have plenty of information available to them. If you asked any person who walks into a doctors office if they are aware of a 1/2 dozen things they could do tomorrow to improve their health they would all say yes. the question is why don't they do them? That may be because new habits need to be created so that healthy eating and living becomes second nature. For most of us eating poorly requires no thought because we are used to it. But eating healthy requires you to take mental energy away from something else and direct it to the new actions you have to take to be healthy. It takes approximately 90 days to implement new habits. Nutritional strategies have to be designed and implemented for each individual
