Brief Paperwork
On your first visit we will collect your health information. We’ll also explain our privacy policy regarding your health and personal information. Click here to download and print our intake forms, which you can complete prior to arriving for your initial visit.
History & Examination
Once the initial intake paperwork is complete, we will begin your consultation by discussing your health concerns and what brought you in to our office. Next, we will conduct your examination to determine the cause of the problem. If the doctor feels that x-rays are necessary, he will discuss that with you at the end of the exam.
Our patients appreciate that we clearly explain the exam results and what specific care is indicated. The doctor may recommend chiropractic adjustments and/or physiotherapy such as ultrasound, exercise therapy, traction among other modality options. Dietary issues are sometimes incorporated as well.
If there is any need for referrals to any specialist, we will assist you in setting that up. We have excellent working relationships with many medical and alternative healthcare professionals in the San Francisco area.
Initial Chiropractic Care
We will explain all the care you will be having before we begin. The doctor will make sure you understand what a spinal adjustment is and how he will apply each one. We are a “no surprises” office. If indicated, we will send you home with information on home therapies such as ice, heat, stretches, etc.
Typical Visits After Initial Examination
A visit in our office usually takes between 5 and 35 minutes depending on whether or not you are having therapies and which ones. Shorter visits do not equate to less valuable care. It doesn’t take long for the doctor to assess your spine and deliver the needed adjustments. We respect everyone’s time demands and we will work with your schedule.
